Our old shelter has to close down. More than 200 rescued animals could lose their home.

Since 2015, Sneha’s Care has been a safe haven for Nepal’s stray dogs and rescued farm animals. We have provided protection, medical care, and love to dogs, cows, buffaloes, goats, pigs, and many other beings. Now, we are being forced to give up our current shelter.

Without a new home, all these rescued souls face an uncertain future. We must act now to build a new shelter. But we can‘t do it without you!

A New Home in Lalitpur, Nepal (Kathmandu Valley)

Currently, our shelter is located in a densely populated area in Lalitpur and many citizens have been complaining for some time about the noise coming from the shelter. Now, due to those complains, the local authorities have ordered us to give up the shelter in its current location and have threatened us with closure if we do not comply.

The good news is that we have already found a piece of land to build a new sustainable animal shelter in the Kathmandu Valley. But we need urgent funding to make this shelter in Lalitpur a reality! This new sanctuary will be more than a safe refuge for animals. It will also be a place where people, especially younger generations, can learn compassion and how to take responsibility for the most vulnerable.

What We Can Build Together:

✔ Safe shelters for dogs and other animals: A home for the animals we have already rescued and those that need help now and in the future. Learn more about our work here.

✔ A veterinary clinic for medical care: We have treated and rescued more than 20.000 wounded animals and want to save many more. Every life matters, and no animal should be left behind.

✔ Educational spaces for compassion and awareness: A library, workshops, and programs for children and adults to learn and take responsibility for more vulnerable beings.

✔ A sustainable, green sanctuary: We want to build a sustainable shelter with eco-friendly materials.

Time is our biggest enemy – we must act NOW!

To build this new shelter, we urgently need $150,000 to build the new shelter and avoid being shut down by the local goverment without having a new refuge.

To start building the shelters, clinic and spaces for education, we need an initial amount of $50.000 until the end of May 2025. To guarantee that the shelter will be ready in time, we need to raise the full amount until October of this year.
